If you are doing an intake it could implode your bench. Doing and exhaust could cause and explosion. I have seen internal panel separations and cracks which can be horrible to repair. Best one I have heard about is the guy who vented his bench to the outside but still sucked air from his room. I caused such a pressure differential it pulled drywall loose off the walls.
