Degree Symbol

I did try this in the general area but would kick me off from my post.

I have been using Alt then 1674 hold the Alt key while you press 1674 then release should
put up the degree symbol but it kicks me off the page any one else try this and have the
same problem??

I usually just us this symbol * (hold shift then 7) aka 78*

It did kick me back to my main page and I had to click the back key on my browser, when I came back I was at the post screen with the º

I'll do some searching and see if this is a bug in the PHPBB software. It might have to do with the default character set that is setup.

Here is a easy way of putting up a degree symbol

I go to all programs then to system tools then Character Map
look for the degree symbol click on it then go down to select
then copy it ° right click then paste it done. :)

Thanks for that information. I went there to look at that and I also noticed that in the lower right corner it tells you the key stroke to use to get the characters. Way cool!

The key to usinf ALT Characters extended ASCII is you must use the keypad not the upper numbers keys.
