Hey all,
I have started to take a look at the electrical portion of the bench project. I am used to soldering and shrink tubing electrical joints, but am finding that a/c electrical might be a bit more crude. I have found "wire lugs" that basically smash the wire that passes through the lug. I'm not real fond of this method and was wondering if anyone has any alternative. I'm looking to connect the wall plug to the wires inside the bench and then have a buss bar like many others have had. I just don't feel comfortable using the "smash the allen set screw into the wire" technique.

Re: Wire Connectors
Copper crimp lugs are available in just about an infinite variety of sizes to suit any wire gauge or hole diameter.
These can just as easily be soldered to the wire as crimped, and a short piece of heat shrink tubing finishes it off nicely.
