Really shook the house and a few things fell down. But thankfully no damage. Lost power here from the Irene storm for about 20 hours. No trees down on my house thankfully but some homes up the street took tree damage and several cars too. Big mess cleaning up all the debris for now. Glad's it's gone. And it's not even 2012 yet.

Mine is small but enough for the whole house. However it seems when you lend a helping "generator" hand, people then turn stupid and try to get it back to their house everyday.1960FL wrote:2:30 PM Monday and still no electricity at home, been out since 2:30 am Sunday, Oh well thank the lord for the generator.

Cable/modem finally on, but cable box is fried, watching analog. Power still out and looks like a few more days, generator still going.
Thank God the trees stayed upright. They are coming down before the winter.

Re: East Coast weekend?
I live on a small hill so I was fine, little water in my basement and some in the "PTS World Headquarters" area easy wet vacuumed.
My buddy spent the day running with the fire company and he spent the day pumping basements with the pump truck. Roads were/are closed all over this area. Around the rivers the water is still rising and there will be lots of damage done.
I made sure years ago I did not buy a house in a floodplain for this specific reason.
We had +10" of rain in 1-2 days on top of what we got with the hurricane the week before.
