This is a great article and interview. I would read it more than once and make note of what Larry has said here even if it seems subtle. I have noticed the same things in my experience in porting and dyno work. The one especially on port texture. This is so true. I used to do little 4 bangers for SCCA cars and every 1 hp gain was a plus. I notice the gain on the dyno leaving the carbide rougher finish. For what you have done for us all I just cannot imagine an avid hobbiest not having a flowbench anymore. The probes are essential.
I really like Larry Meaux as he does not try and BS you and he always responds. Although he cannot be from this planet as he just has way too much energy. I have no idea how he can do all he does.
btw you can argue all you want about the accuracy of the probes but they are still a million percent better than sticking a wet finger in the port.
