Blasting Media

I found a place not far from me that manufactures glass bead. They have anything you'll ever want in various grits.

He's the results from some of their media on alumium

I use this type of abrasive! Beware of holes lubrication is necessary removal of seals holes ok (Cleaning)
In the case of blocks of bikes I think better to use salt, it becomes more opaque, but would melt with the water

I ran into this blasting media. It is a little expensive at first but if it lasts longer in the long run it may be cheaper. Interesting stuff.

Not real silver surely.

Let's see, 50 Lbs = 22.7 Kg = roughly 731 troy ounces.
Current price of silver about $35.50 per troy ounce.

$26,000 dollars for a bucket of blasting media seems a little spendy.

If you look at the pail it is not very big. It is $152.00 USD so that is still pricey. I would like to know what it is. If it was silver Tony we would have to be bead blasting Werewolfes though so we may be able to make our money back.

I wonder how this stuff holds up in a humid environment. I tried some glass beads from harbor frieght and that stuff caked up so back I couldn't get it to flow thru the blasting hose.

Liquid glass is sprayed by noble gas/protective gas (I don't know how its called correctly, things like neon, argon...) into a tower. It cools while falling down and freeze in tis drope form.

But what I would be interrestet to know: Who does mesure, select and count them??? It would make me crazy

They say it is not steel and will not work harden, but I have no idea what it is. They say it is soft metal. (lead? so we all die of lead poisoning)
