PTS Solid State Motor Control

Hi all, (I hope this is in the right place)

I was active on the old forums some but had to take some time off from this type of work. I am getting setup to get back into the game and had a couple questions.

1. If I have 8 120vac motors wired 4 on each leg of a 240 circuit can I use the PTS motor control for this setup? I think the answer is yes but for some reason I am not sure on this one.

2. I don't see any pricing in the store for the automatic depression control box. Did I miss it?

I do not have it listed in the store yet sorry to say.

Current price for the 40" is - $275 and the 100" - $300

You need the Solid State Relay for this to work.

Tried this early but my post would not go through like it was being blocked ??

The PTS SSR consisits of a 240v-75A solid state relay, phase angle control module, a 10 turn potentiometer, heat sink and a 24V-240V control transformer.

This unit will control the speed of a 2-8 motor flowbench build. Using this control does away with the need for any check valves as all the motors are now running on the same speed control. It will go from zero to full motor speed in 10 turns of the pot.

Does anyone have the instructions in a pdf, or a link for the HB controls 75 amp SSR? I'd like to know exactly what the dip switches do.

I have that data yes. I am asking because when I bought my Audie control years ago he asked if the bench was 120vac controlling 120vac motors, 240vac controlling 120vac motors or 240vac controlling 240vac motors. Maybe with the newer technology this is not an issue.

My thought is since the control should be applying the same processing to each leg it should not care if the motors are wired to each leg for 120vac or if they are true 240vac. At least that is how I rationalize it in my head.

Bruce has the schematic in pdf form on how to wire the 120 motors for use with 220/240 volt and the SSR and motor controller. Maybe he will guide you to it or post it again.
