I have an older JKM flowbench that I have listed for sale on this site and I put it on Craigslist recently. A local guy saw the ad on Craigslist and was wondering how it would work on small engines and carbs. It is a JKM 400 and I never really worked with anything that small. L don't want to mislead him so what are your thoughts. Do you think this bench would work for him ok on carbs, racing karts and small pulling tractors? Thanks guys.

Re: Testing small heads and carbs on JKM bench
well since a carb is tested around 21'' I think it would be ok.
the big FCR carb on a crf450 flows around 235-250 stock so if you can flow a head at 28'' up to (?) CFM that would be your answer
harley carbs flow around low 200's
I dont think there would be an issue

Thanks for the reply. I finally had a chance today to play some with it today and I think it will work fine for him. It has been sitting several years since I built one of Bruce's benches. He wants some growing room and it will flow a little over 400@28. Thanks again.

I had a bench like that and it would not work very well for for low flow of say under 40 or 50 cfm. It worked well otherwise.
