We are talking about "...no wheels" now! As a lot of you already know, I am an aeronautical engineer (retired). I started with North American Aviation because of their history in the industry which included the P-51 Mustang of WWII. I had heard of an ETF-51, but always assumed it was a "trainer" variant. The link below provides a good read for history buffs. Note also the project name of "Seahorse"! -- Doug

I have no idea how I missed your TVR as I love them. They had so many different versions of them. I rebuilt one for a friend that had the Triumph TR6 engine in it. Then my friend Bill who had the Mini (a real one) also had an orange TVR that I think had a V8 in it. Did they come with V8's?
The blue and pink one is the Turner Ford that we really proved the rough ports as being effective.

hi john , they made some earlier tvr's in a v8 option ,but no they never made a 'm' series v8 for the general populace to buy , they did a 1300, 1600 ,2500 ,and a 3litre.(i think).
i converted mine from a 2.5 straight six to a 3.5 litre v8 twin compound turbo ,in 85 to 87 ,then added 'dfi's injection kit bought from summit in 89/90
it ran a 12.85 quarter on treaded tyres in 93 .on only 12 psi.

My daughter gave me a ride to Home Depot today and this is what we saw in the parking lot! Thank goodness for good cell phone cameras now!

I'll tell you one thing for sure it was one straight car! Whoever did it really spent some time on it.

Here is a very good video about the Poteet and Main "Speed Demon". Great video! It is almost 25 minutes long so give yourself time to enjoy it.

This one is pretty good although it does feel a little too "setup" or rehearsed. Still good though.

This is a really cool glider
That takes off really quick it looks like a lot of fun
The Glider must have a lot of lift to take off in such a short
distance
