Reduced Size

Post by Lucedale »

I am about to start my build, Has any one reduced the size of their bench as presented on the plans? If so did you think any performance/functionality was lost?

I would not reduce the orifice side, the size seems to work the way it is.

Not sure what your plans are for reduction? Some have built the orifice side and made the motor area smaller and a separate part. I think you will find some pictures of various "redesigns" and discussion over in the passworded PTS Plans area on this forum.

Reducing the size is going to reduce some or all of the internal flow areas.
And that is going to reduce the max airflow and increase internal turbulence and pressure losses.
A small bench will work fine, if you only wish to test very small parts.
Also known as the infamous "Warpspeed" on some other Forums.
