I suggest you try running it first and see if the noise level is acceptable.

They have a silencer built into the vac inlet but I will try them, I need to work out how best to house and pipe them into a flowbench. Not all the noise is in the airflow.
The pump casing itself will scream pretty loudly.

I have wired one of them, its actually quieter than the shop vac. Tried to measure flow with a hand held electronic gadget I bought off ebay and it cant read the cfm if I hold it against the ports, it goes off the scale holding it about six inches from the inlet port.

I picked up a few of these 6" motorised valves that work with 6" solvent weld pipe, not sure how they will cope switching between vacuum and pressure or whether pumps will need to be turned off first. Struggling a bit to find a solution to getting the two pump outlets/inlets coupled and connected to the bigger pipe in a way that still gives me access to the pumps filters.

I have a plan of the proposed pipework for the flowbench.
Port 6 on the bench would be the port to the cylinder head and vent port 7 is either vac or blow depending on whether the bench is sucking or blowing, thought it a better idea this on the bench rather than having the draught from the vac/blowers howling about my legs when in use.
I was thinking of using the electric shut of valves as follows.
Valve 1 and 3 open with 2 and 4 shut to provide vac at port 6
Valve 2 and 4 open with 1 and three shut to provide blow at port 6

I managed to find a new old stock VFD big enough to control both of the motors, I will wire them both up temporarily to make sure it works. I think that's most of the bigger purchases taken care of, time to start a build.
