Port short turn radius air speed

I have a set of GM V6 Vortec heads that I am working. I have done some porting in accordance to info I have found on youtube. I looked at air speed with my Pitot tube and found the air speed almost maxed out my manometer at the beginning of the short turn radius. So I have had my FB for years but have not done much with it. I'm thinking I need to widen the floor of the port in this area to slow down the air or is this just the way it is and I should leave it alone?
