What are you other Aussies painting inside your benches with?
I checked around my local paint shops today, nobody has heard of latex primer.
What about colour fleck for in tinnys or utes? Maybe sound deadener?
Some had plastic dip style but super expensive.
I can get some paint on Ute tub liner, but it's very thick.

Look for a product called Bulls Eye it's a sealer

For us Aussies, I used clear Estapol on the inside.

Dilute it with equal volume of paint thinners, and it soaks right in, sets as hard as a rock.
Its tough enough to use on high traffic exposed timber floors, and absolutely guaranteed to totally seal your bench against porosity leakage.

I think it might be in craft stores, but I haven't checked. I remember Mythbusters painted themselves with it.

That's not it. What we here in North America call latex paint is what I believe most other English speaking area call emulsion paint, in any event, it's just generic term for water-based house paint.

I was wondering why people were using latex paint, now I find out it's just the common name in that part of the world.

In Aust we used to call it plastic paint because when you peel it it came off in plastic like rubber sheets - I can now see the latex/plastic similarity -, but now it's just water based paint.

The Americans are a strange people, with some even stranger local tribal concoctions completely unavailable and unheard of, in the rest of the greater civilised world.

It took me 6 hours to remember it's called Acrylic paint, which is ironic considering I used to work in industrial coatings.

That's not ironic, it's sad

FWIW, if you put latex paint into a wikipedia search, it redirects you to acrylic paint.
