12 cylinder flowbench

So the flowbench is under construction in the shop, it's a 12 motor bench. A mate came in yesterday and he is really struggling with working out how this crazy device works. I've tried explaining, but it's going in one ear and out the other. He's a good mate, but not an engine guy.
He grabs the motor panel with 12 holes and says:
NOW I get it. The orifice has a sharp edge to cut the air with good depression and these 12 holes let you test 12 cylinder engines. Its not as complex as I thought. Jim, why don't you put 16 holes here so you can test both V8 heads at once?
Not quite.....just wait till I finish it Sam, you will get it soon.
Maybe a valid change to the plans Bruce?
