Hi superrican, welcome to the forum.

A flowbench is really just a big air blower that either blows air or sucks air through whatever you want to test. It will have a very sensitive means of measuring both air pressure drop and airflow, so that small changes (improvements) can be measured.

There are two fundamentally different ways of measuring airflow, each with it's own advantages and disadvantages. An orifice plate can be used, or a pitot tube arrangement.

Everyone here has different ideas of how to go about building a home airflow bench, and there are some great ideas and some pretty sharp people here on this forum.

Start reading through the old threads. There is a lot to read, and it will take a fair while, but it will be well worth the effort.
