Heck everything you need to build your own flowbench is located in this forum. All you have to do is take a little time and search for it. There are alot of people here who built their own bench just from reading and asking questions. Most "build" questions have already been answered by some extremely knowledgeable people that come to this forum . . .

The hardest part is finding the info.there is alot here and the search feature is a little spotty.
There are 3 main parts.
The box that the head will rest on
The Flow sensor
The vacuum motor box.
The motor box will take at least 6 to 8 vacuum motors to pull 400 cfm at 28 inches and if you want to turn them on in steps they need to be seperated.
The flow sensor is the hard part.( read the Forums)
My box is a built outta med density board and I had a 2 inch thick peice of plastic that I made the top out of.Put it in the rottler boring bar and made a nice hole and then drilled for 1/4 inch thread holes on a 5 inch pattern.

There are several commercial do it yourself kits.

Hi, I'm new here too. I have read quite a bit of the information on this site though. I have a few questions (and I could not start a new topic, probably because of the newbie status). anyways, for the vacuum motors, the normal 5-6" motors are the ones that people use, right? also, where can i find somemore details on the pilot tubes? what i'm trying to figure out with them is exactly how they are setup and where they are typically placed. i think i know i just want to see some pictures of it to verify. thank you!
