Better put me on the bottom of that list Larry as my bench will be a while.

Bruce, what sizes of test orifices do you make? Can we order them by cfm or what?

Larry, Put me on the list for the test plate that will be going around.
I can check it on a SF600 and a SF 1200 very easily. Might even run it across Ford's 3 M stand (as in 6 zeros).

Bruce, I will get with you on a test plate for some other calibration work.
PM probably.

Let's up the Anny and pass 3 plates around, three plates could tell us a lot more than just one. say 75cfm 150cfm 300cfm.

What do you think?

Are there any Canadians on that list? I'd be certainly be interested in participating provided I've got my bench together by the time the plate makes it up here.

BTW, I think Nick's idea of multiple plate is great.

Well since I am still machining plates this weekend I'll make up a set of 3 to pass around instead of just 1. The plates will be in the mail on Monday to Larry, from there he is heading up their next destination. From my understanding the results will be "blind" so knowone will know what anyone else flowed till they have made thier way around to everyone on the list.

Ok just to keep everyone up-to-date on whats going on;

There is now a total of 3 plates to test. They are machined and have been flowed on my bench. They will be on their way to Larry's tomorrow via USPS Priority mail, so where they go after that is up to Larry.

Please be very careful of the sharp edge on the plate! Remember that other members of this forum will be flowing them and would like to receive them in the same condition as the first person on the list received them. Just a word of caution, using a caliper on them to measure the diameter WILL DAMAGE the sharp edge and possibly change the CD.

Its going to be interesting to see what the outcome is.

Oh and just so everyone knows the cfm readings that were posted on here as suggestions for the "pass it around" plate cfm's are not what I machined them to :p
