Discussion on general flowbench design

has anyone had any experience using a digtal manometer like those made by Omega instead of an inclined water type manometer to measure the differential

I have tested a few of the major brand digital manometers against a major brand mechanical manometer, and some are better than others as far as accuracy and linearity, but I have not tested the Omega.

The ones that are microprocessor controlled as opposed to analog circuits seem to do much better.

The FlowPerformance FP1 is microprocessor controlled, and allows the user to adjust the calibration of each of the two pressure sensors. This permits exact calibration for a certain pressure or pressure range if desired. Also, one button-touch zeroing keeps the sensors well zeroed at all times.
