Any recommendation to what type of material (Alum, steel, wood)I should use for mounting the the test stand to the bench? Also what bolt pattern did you use to mount it to the bench?

I used a 1/4" thk 16" square steel plate with a 4-1/2" hole bored in it, the hold down bolts are on a 5" square bolt pattern. The "standard" is a 5" hole with the hold-down holes on the 5" square.
To clarify this would be the top of my bench and not the cylinder head adaptor. The head/carb, part to be tested adaptor could be made from almost anything depending on what you are testing, I have used alum, steel, pvc, clear acrylic and wood for my testing already.
