I read in a few places to use 1/8" od copper tubing for the pressure and differential pressure taps. So far all I can find is 1/4" od tubing. Would it affect the readings to use 1/4" od taps, if so how?

has tubing in all diameters. They have alum, stainless and brass.
Depending on the location of your pressure tap (static pressure?) a larger opening will give you a false static reading. I have found due to impact velocity from the larger hole and the air hitting the opposite wall of the tube. What I did was drill a small hole .032-.062 in the side wall for my static pickup and glue the larger tube to the outside so your pressure tap hole is extremely small in size. By doing this it also assures me that the pressure tap is flush with the inside wall of my flowbench so it is not effect by any false readings.

hhmm... I can do that. I order from McMaster about once every two weeks now. I was just trying to look local. What I was thinking was to have 2 pressure (static) taps in the plenum chamber equally spaced from the sides. Then do the same for the differential taps as well. Should the differential taps be small too?
