Here is my idea for building a flow bench. i am pretty new to this concept so, any tips, advice, pointers, whatever you want to call them are more than welcome! this is a pretty basic design. it is somewhat different than lots of the pictures i have seen but it seems to me like it would work. if it won't, please tell me! i am a little confused on where i would hook up the tubes from the inclined manometer. would i need the "top" tube to go in the pipe under the head and the "lower" tube to go by the port on the head? i'm planning to use 4" PVC all the way with a piece of 4" clear plexiglass tubing at the top. i will probably set it up with 6 vacuum motors in 3 banks. as far as the tubing for the manometers, what size should i use? 1/4" or so? and, can is just be plumbed right into the side of the 4" tube via pipe fittings or something? thanks for all of your help. and i'm sorry if some of this is repeat questions that come up a lot or anything like that. i have done a lot of searching and and still a little confused on some of these matters.
