Are you thinking of building a balancer? When I had my shop I had a new Stewart Warner Engine balancer. When I bought it in the early '80s it was $25,000 USD then. Balancing was always a controversial subject. Whether to balance or not and then how to balance etc. I balanced everything! It does make a difference.

I am building a cam analyser though.

now that's a very good project to get your teeth into..it is about number 3 on my list after the workshop shift and the engine dyno and before completing one of the race cars ect.
Cant afford the $$$ being asked for the analysers on the market and have been doing them manually plotting with degree wheel and dial gauges in motor or on "V' blocks..
