Thanks

Try seller "dbensavage" on eBay. I have purchased manuals from him in the past, he may be a source for what you need. I tried to post a link, but it didn't work.

I know who you mean he has about everything but what I need. I think I'm the only guy in the world with one of these machines.

Larry I'll send you a pic. It should be the gold machine not the red one. They might be close though. There is attachments with the machine that I'm not sure where they go. I also need to know what valve angle the head has to be set to reface the stone.

I received the pic. It sure looks a lot like mine except for the color. I'll check my manual. I think there's a phone number in it for B&D.

I have one of these grinders, but don`t have a manual.
my dressing stick chucks up like a valve so it does`nt matter
what angle you use.
I got tired of hunting for the sweet spot as the collet had some wear so I adapted ER25 collets in this machine now I have .001 repeatabilty, got them from MSC.
After all fine tuning it works just fine for a $100 machine.

I use Erickson 300D Collets with a holder in my Sioux machine for smaller valve stems. The holder fits into my regular valve holder. I've only had to do this with 7mm stems. I purchased the collets and holder off Ebay.

Thanks Dave
I hate to pay big bucks for them. I never reface small valves but I do like to have the ability to back cut them. I'll check it out.

Larry,
MSC and J&L have 1/2" shank collet holders and extensions in ER-11, SA, and DA (SA single angle collet, DA double angle) with total indicated runout within 0.0005". If you only need to adapt for one or two sizes of valve stems, this may be more cost efficient than a whole set. They list some DA collets in metric specific sizes, too. I think Ericksons just come in 1/64" increments.

I also use a old B&D , The gold one but it is the 11/32 model. Porlly the same one as everyone else. I have to dig through my recepts but i got a collet holder with collets from enco and use it for cutting 4-7mm stemed valves.
heres the link to the goodson adapter
