Member User Names

Some of you might have noticed some user names showing up with a -1 or 1 after it. I have had problems with the user database and some members are not able to logon using their old user names. So in order to keep continuity with the forum I am using their old user names and adding a -1 or 1 behind their name so users know it's the same person. I am carrying over their post counts to the new user name and their PM's should be working under the new user names.

I'm going to have to bite-the-bullet sometime soon and swap over to the new forum software and database. I'm afraid of losing the old database info in the conversion so that's why I have been holding off (I'm not "computer smart" in this type of conversion). I have given it some thought to setup a new forum but hate the idea of making everyone re-register. The old forum would then become read only. Again it is just an option/ thought . . .
