Downdraught head

Has anyone one done any experimentation with relocating perpendicular (to cylinder) intake ports, so as to gain a downdraught type set-up??

I.e have them shooting down towards the back of the valve at say 45*.

Any comments/discussion/ % gains would be intresting....
