Weber Area file is not very complex, but outlines some important factors relating to carb main venturi diameter, vs. intake runner diameters. Also developed to try and show some in the Fiat community, that installing a pair of 40 IDF's (independent runner manifold) on a 2-liter Fiat Twin Cam, could result in power reduction, vs. larger single plenum, single carb set up. Not widely accepted (40 IDF's were for the 1600 cc motor), but the
numbers don't lie, and some interesting comparisons are made that can be used as a basis to examine other applications.
