Hi Guys,

I have got some stuff from a friend in the ventelation business. All sorts of tubes and probes. But the main thing is a blower that they use for leakage testing in ventelation systems.

I made a rather crude testrigg to se if I could get it to deliver 10"-28" of H2O.
I only manage to get it to deliver 8" of H2O.

Is there a way to make this type of blower to deliver a higher preassure? Or is my testrigg wrong?

Ventilation system blowers are designed to move large quantities of air at low pressures as most ducting for the systems is pretty fragile. A good flow bench with high vacuum/pressure motors has enough pressure/vacuum to blow out the walls of a 3/4" plywood enclosure. A few people have discovered that fact of physics.

You would be better off buying a few motors from the surplus outfit that most members buy from. The motors are reasonable in price (around $10.00 each).
