In my video I'm running a sweep test where the engine is never held at any rpm. In the software you can specify if you want to run a sweep test and at what rate, rpm/sec. You can do a step test like they are doing on the HP TV video where you hold the engine for a few seconds at each rpm step that you choose. With the servo load valve you can do either style of testing.
A step test generates somewhat higher numbers because the engine is not working against it's own inertia but I like a sweep test better because it gets data from more points in the rpm band, I report every 100 rpm on my reports.
