Rick, that is a fantastic find.
It has all the required features for a fast updating, high resolution dyno rpm, or engine rpm pickup.
It will read rpm directly by itself, but it will still require some extra custom software to be written at the PC, to both smooth the readings of jitter, and integrate the rpm readings with the main dyno software program somehow.
But as a "hardware front end" for the rpm pickup channel of a dyno, it is ideal.
