I wanted to know what people out there were using as fluid in there manometers i cannot get my hands on any of the correct fluid so i am forced to use water with a drip of dishwashing liquid & some food coloring. Should i be making any corrections for the weight of the fluid any help would be cool. Thanks all

I am doing exactly the same thing here, and am quite happy with it. In Australia freezing is not a problem. The actual relative volume of the dye and detergent are so small, I cannot see it making any significant difference.

I use Marvel Mystery oil. Nice red color and sp. gravity of .830 widens the scale for easier reading. Won't freeze either.
