Iris valves, thats what Smokey Yunick used on his flowbench. What size are they? Been looking on ebay for some in the USA, haven't been able to find a supplier for them.

I found this page with a price list. Very expensive. A cheaper alternative iris valve, with a control system that would accurately repeat selected orifice sizes would really be a nice way to flowtest. If I run across anything else, I'll post it on the forum.
When I think about what I've already invested in the new bench project, I guess this may not be out of line, but I don't doubt that something more cost effective may be available.
Just the same, I really like the concept! From the graphs they provide, it appears that some very linear testing could be done with the iris valve.
