Has anybody given any thought on this? Only think I was thinking would be leakage through the leaf's, but the pressure might actually end up making them seal.

The new Superflow 1020 uses a variable orifice, but it's not like a camera's iris, as I understand it, it's like two overlapping V's that move with respect to each other to increase or decrease the size of the orifice.

that even sounds simpler.. I guess it doesn't really need to be round hole then.

Maybe Tom Vaught will chime in here, I think he know a few more details about the set-up.
