flow through a 2.306 orifice plate

My orifice plate in my is 2.306" It's hand made so it's not perfect, but it's pretty dang good if you ask me. The sharp edge is not cut you sharp, but I wouldn't want to fall on it.

My question is Generally what kind of flow rate would I be looking at with 12"h2o across a plate this size?

I know there are variables but I was just wanting some round figures 'til I get an actual calibration plate.

Use the spreadsheet in because your orifice isn't completely sharp, you may find that you have to tweak the Cd a bit.

You can see how a small change in the Cd makes a difference in the CFM. Hole quality has a lot to do with your bench accuracy.

That's exactly what I wanted. I will be getting a calibration plate but in the mean time I just wanted some numbers to look at.

I understand that typically 22RE toyota heads flow around 130cfm and the head I tested was about 56% that puts my bench somewhere just below the middle of the range you listed.

look at the following link it is for the MS Excel Viewer, Now i have not tried it with an active sheet as all my computers have Excel but it's worth a try and will at minimum allow you to see allot of the work done by Larry and the other members of the forum.
