Hi guys, iv finally got a picture of my pitot bench set-up to post , i built it this way so as to increase access to and around the test area as iv noticed alot of other benches lacked the ability to have both intake and exhaust manifolds on the head at the same time!!

Hey Johno, how about a picture of the flow path? Do the end fittings shown let you blow and suck for testing? Thanks, Doug

Yeah Doug you got it in one! I basically built a giant two-way wooden vacuum cleaner with three 1000watt Ametek motors, all individually safety switched to increase the benches "flexibility". Test pressure is trimmed by the bleed valve just after the black flexible vacuum hose you see in the pics and flow direction is changed by swapping the ports as you noticed. Heres a pic of the internals, kept it very basic and fully serviceable and easy to dis-assemble. Audie supplied the flow measuring unit, i built all the whitewall cabinets and fitted the whole conglomeration to a Repco tool cabinet so it was mobile! :;):
