brzezinski with sliderplate and replaceable cylinders ( i hope)
nothing set in stone yet but thats what i want i do like the clear acryllic fixture so you can see whats going on in there but i would like the aluminum one so you can flow faster

we had a clear plastic one at the school i went to and it was always getting broke or cracked so i think thats why i want an aluminum one

I'm glad that Curtis is adding his SF-110 to the list. We'll get a comparison between his and mine. I'm getting very excited about this project! (Or is it just my meds again?)

CFM Headman, the Brzezinski fixture looks pretty good. I like the fact that it is anodized. There is a local company that I go to for anodizing my aluminum tooling fixtures and some one off external motorcycle parts that are on my test mule, and my son uses their process extensively for the parts he markets. The ni-tuff wears like iron and is very hard to scratch or damage.

I went with a Mondello fixture which is very similar to the Brz. fixture, except that it isn't anodized, and (here's what sold me on Joe's), the slider itself has bore sleeve inserts, as well as the base. (I may be mistaken, but I don't think the Brz. fixture is set up that way, please correct me if I'm wrong.) Those are the only two differences that I know of, and Joe's slider will work on a Brz. fixture.

I have been thinking about making up a slider plate that will mount two or more Harley heads at a time to speed up that test process. If I make any progress on it, I'll post it here. It's all a matter of time and money. I never have both things at the same moment. First I need to finish my new bench!

The Brzezinski stuff is nice but they aren't cheap. Maybe Santa will skip your house and deliver the fixture and cylinders to mine. :)

I need to built a couple more fixtures. I haven't had a problem with breakage yet.

The plates when out yesterday, as they make the rounds please send me via email or PM what they flowed so I can add your readings to the list when everyone has had a chance to flow them the last person can send them back to me and I will post the results in a spreadsheet and in a post on here.

I expect to see them on Wed. Christmas mail is probably slowing things down.

I received and tested the plates this afternoon. They're headed in Wing64K's direction tomorrow.

Enclosed with the plates is a printed spreadsheet with everyone's name and address and I printed labels as well. It's all in the box.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH THE PLATES - if the edge of the hole get's marked, the results will not be comparable and the entire project will be null and void.

Bruce has warning stickers on them. I added special envelopes and protective cardboard that is taped over the top side of the hole on each plate. Replace the cardboard, and slip the plates back into their respective envelopes.

I'm starting a new thread so we can track things. It will be in Flowbench General and I'll call it "Plates".
When you receive them, test them and post who you're shipping them to...

Good Luck and may the winds of fortune be at your back!

I have a Superflow 110 with the FlowCom and the Performance Trends software at my shop. My bench has been carefully calibrated and it tends to agree very closely with work tested on other benches belonging to friends(mostly SF600's) I would be willing to flow the test plate at various depressions and send it along to another forum member. It would be very interesting, helpful to others and fun!

What would it cost to have these orifices flow tested at a certified lab?

If it would be reasonable amount I would pay for that.

Maybe nothing at all.

Ford's 3 million dollar flow stand is certified to all
National Flow Standards. Maybe the plates will get tested there. LOL!

Not until I get back to work and arrange a few favors. LOL! Back to work after the 3rd of January.

Thanks for the suggestion though, I am fine where I am in the list.
