I am looking for an outside divider and pushrod gauge to measure thicknesses in cylinder heads. Where is a good place to find them?

What about dykem in white and prussian blue in paste form? I can get dykem blue locally but they have no clue what prussian blue is. I believe crown makes it. It comes in paste and spray form.

Permatex makes prussion blue,it comes in a small tube,you can get it at a good parts store or machine shop.

I will try the good parts store. We don't have to many good machine shops around here.

You can also ask for "High Spot Blue" if they don't know what you mean by "Prussian Blue". It's more common use is for finding high spots when you have to scrape a bearing for fit in poured babbit bearings (They're still used in industrial machinery). A dying art. You can get it from ENCO, MSC, J&L, Travers Tool, etc

I found the dykem and high spot. Now I just need to find a source for the two tools I need. Any ideas? If I could find a couple of pictures to see how some of them are made I could probably make something that would do the job.

Barry and Joe sell the same tool. You could also use a hermaphrodite caliper by Starrett, (or a cheaper import like ENCO) and replace the adjustable straight point with a curved point. Hermaphrodite calipers are available at all the machinist supply outlets I mentioned in my previous post.
