I would think I would want to try and eliminate the length of the piping and keep everything as compact as possible? Wouldn't you see more turbulence with all the turns? Why have such long runs if its not needed? Discussions anyone? I'm sure we've convered "theories" on long pipes and flow quality in some other posts? But we can bring them current again here.
I personally like to try and keep the length of my pipe to a minimum so my bench is as compact as possible. My flow tube is probably only 3' long I do have a flow straightener installed right after the 90* turn (bunch of soda straws hot glued together, working on a new setup for this in the future with some honeycomb material). My bench flows "dead on" on with a calibration orifice.
