What size pvc? - pipe length and ID

Discussion on general flowbench design

Postby mulemotors » Sun Jan 09, 2005 11:38 pm

I was wondering what effect the ID size of the pvc has on the flow bench. I understand it changes cubic feet measurement, but what else? Also what advantage is there to having long strait runs of pipe, and is there an ideal length.

Thanks

If you go and read through the old posts, you'll get most of your questions answered.Dont' sweat it, I need to be reminded to look back through the old stuff sometimes as well.......Its all dependant on what ranges(cfm/depression) you want to test at, as to what diameter your flow element needs to be. Briggs=smaller, Big Block Chev=larger
